The Solander Catalogue is a systematic collection of natural history specimens compiled by Daniel Solander. Solander was a Swedish botanist and naturalist who worked closely with Sir Joseph Banks. He accompanied Banks on James Cook’s first expedition (1768-1771) and was instrumental in the collection and cataloging of plant and animal specimens gathered during this journey. The Solander Catalogue is an important historical document that recorded the results of the natural history explorations of the 18th century.
